This workshop is a comprehensive guide to building a standout portfolio designed specifically for creatives. Participants will learn how to effectively showcase their work, skills, and creative process to attract potential clients, employers, and collaborators. The session covers portfolio structure, visual storytelling, project selection, and practical tips for creating impactful portfolios across design, illustration, print, film, and animated works. Whether you’re just starting out or refining an existing portfolio, this workshop equips you with the tools to define and highlight your unique creative identity.

2:00 – 2:15 pm – MARTYNA ZMIJEWSKA- Introduction to Portfolios for Creatives
An overview of what makes a strong creative portfolio and how to begin shaping yours for maximum impact.
2:15 – 2:45– MOYLIN BULDAIN- Portfolios for Film & Animated Works
Learn how filmmakers and animators can craft portfolios that showcase their artistic vision and technical skills. This presentation covers how to highlight a variety of work—including storyboards, character designs, visual effects, and finished films—while focusing on creativity, storytelling, and technical proficiency, with reference to Sophie Li’s portfolio as an example.
2:45– 3:15pm – JONAS BECKER - Standing Out: The Many Sides of a Creative Portfolio
Explore the multifaceted nature of creative portfolios and how to use them to stand out in a competitive industry. This session covers presenting your work across multiple formats—digital and physical—and tailoring it for different audiences such as agencies, clients, and collaborators. Learn strategies for effective storytelling, showcasing versatility, and positioning yourself to attract opportunities in design, film, illustration, and beyond.

3:25– 4pm - Portfolio Review
A session in which participants will be divided into three groups: Martyna’s group, Moylin’s group and Jonas’s group. Within each group, they will discuss selected participants’ portfolios.
This workshop will be delivered in hybrid mode and Digital Marketing students from Berlin or Paris will be able to join it remotely.
