This is a preparation session for the GGG Career Fair that will take place the following week - on the 6th November - at the UE University for Applied Sciences and which is organised jointly by BSBI, GISMA and UE University.

A Career Fair in Germany is not a jobs event, as it often is in India or other Asian countries , and you will need to adjust your expectations and your actions at such events in this country accordingly. You will not secure a dream role on the spot and neither should you try to. It is a networking opportunity where you are given the chance to have a conversation with recruiters, talent acquisition and hiring managers, to make useful business connections and to find out about the sector and the organisation(s) you would like to work for in the future.

In this session, you will learn about what you should think of and what you should prepare for the big event:

Before the Fair:
(research. attending organisations check, websites read, making a list of companies to visit for yourself)

Next up:
(resume update, which format, LinkedIn on your phone, self-introduction, questions for the reps)

During the Fair:
(morning activities including the company presentations, layout of the venue, business etiquette at the stands, networking tips, Dos & Don'ts)

After the Fair:
(thank-you notes, LinkedIn connection requests, applications to vacancies with Fair companies)

This is a registration-only event delivered in a hybrid mode. BSBI Students from Barcelona, Hamburg and Paris campuses can join online. You must have a complete JobTeaser profile (name, personal image, degree course title and uploaded CV) to be considered for participation (BSBI ONLY).

UE and GISMA students register via their respective portals (JobTeaser or Handshake) and can also attend the session online.
