This practical workshop will cover topics which are essential to any job-seekers new to the German, French or Spanish labour market:
- different techniques of finding vacancies and available positions in Germany, France or Spain
- German/French and Spanish online job portals - which are worth your time and which aren't
- German/French/Spanish-speaking or English-speaking? Which positions you should be applying to
- Cultural contexts of job search and networking in Germany, France and Spain
- the “hidden job market" and how to get into it
- speculative applications (Initiativbewerbung) - how to prepare and make these
- online networking portals (such as LinkedIn) as a job application tool

The workshop will last approximately 75 minutes with 15 minutes for Q&As. Students located at other BSBI campuses will be able to join via an MS Teams link.
Places for remote attendance are also available. During registration indicate on Question 3 that you would be attending the event online.
