SOHO CONCEPT
Soho House is a club for creatives. The hotels exist to provide a home for members to come together and belong, wherever they are in the world. The Soho House story began in 1995, when founder Nick Jones opened the first Soho House on London’s Greek Street above his restaurant, Cafe Boheme. Soho House was so named, because it was situated in a Georgian house in Soho. The logo reflects the layout of that first space – three floors across three interconnecting houses. Today, the company operated Houses across the world and each one is designed to be comfortable and characterful, offering its members a unique yet familiar experience every time they visit. The Houses have spaces for drinking, dining, relaxing, working and exercising. Their screening rooms show a selection of new and classic films and their rooftops – both with pools and without – are loved by the members. The art collection consists of more than 8,000 curated works which play a prominent role in the design of every House.
BERLIN SOHO HOUSE
The first outpost to open on the European continent in 2010, Soho House Berlin is a cornerstone of the creative community in the district of Mitte. The hotel is set in a Grade II-listed property built in 1928 and features 1970s-inspired interiors and comes complete with a rooftop pool, a gym with a studio and personal trainers, a Cowshed spa and a hammam. Plus, there’s a screening room, Cecconi’s restaurant and a site-specific artwork by Damien Hirst in the lobby.
